The United Church of Christ (UCC) are People of Extravagant Welcome! Jesus lived and breathed gracious hospitality. Even though there were powerful people who opposed Jesus’ extravagant welcome, he still embraced those who were often shunned.

Worship Online
Many people (and churches) have various ways to worship. Some like traditional worship services where an order of worship is followed, with Bible readings, responses, hymns with piano or organ, and sermons.
Others enjoy more contemporary services with some of the same elements of worship, but much less formal and a band that plays less traditional music. Some prefer spiritual practices and music that lead an individual towards the Spirit.
We provide a variety of ways for you to experience God and the Spirit when you would like.
There will be links for you to view services live, or videos to watch when you would like. If you do not see any that speak to you, please let us know and we will work with you to find another way.

Kathy Wood is the lead pastor of Meandering Ministries, located in Little River South Carolina. She has been involved in online worship service ministries for over 22 years. Kathy founded meandering ministries for these awesome reasons.
THE WHY BEHIND THE
Meander
Our faith, like meandering rivers, takes an indirect path with purpose, determination, and strength. On a philosophical level, the “meander or Greek key” symbol was considered a sign of the bravery and flexibility of the Greek spirit, symbolic of the Ancient Greeks’ capacity to overcome adversity.

‘All Are Welcome’ isn’t enough–see the ONA Coalition
Meandering Ministries is an online worship service that is Open and Affirming (ONA) through the United Church of Christ. This means that you are welcome here just like anyone else. Everyone can participate in the spirit and life of the church.
Open and Affirming (ONA) is the United Church of Christ’s (UCC) designation for congregations, campus ministries, and other bodies in the UCC which make a public covenant of welcome into their full life and ministry to persons of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions.
LGBTQ+* people of faith often experience emotional and spiritual injury in churches that condemn their capacity to love and seek love. Because many have learned the hard way that “All Are Welcome” usually doesn’t apply to them, LGBTQ+ folks can’t assume that every church will be safe for them and their families…that is, until you are part of Meandering Ministries and the United Church of Christ.
